Telecommunication and teleinformatics to save lives and health is the main theme of KSTiT 2011 Conference
27th National Symposium on Telecommunications and ICT – “KSTiT 2011” which will be held on 14th-16th September in Łódź will be dedicated to telecommunication and ICT. The event will be attended by representatives of PSNC.

The symposium is one of the oldest and largest conferences of its kind in Poland. It provides an excellent forum for exchanging knowledge and experience among practitioners of science, representatives of government bodies, telecom operators, equipment manufacturers, chambers of commerce and users.

The theme of this year’s conference will be “Telecommunication and ICT to save lives and health”. „KSTiT 2011” participants’ will focus also on such issues as:

– security in telecommunication networks
– signal processing
– radiocommunication
– electromagnetic compatibility
– telecommunication networks
– services in telecommunication networks
– legal and economic aspects of telecommunications

Two sessions will be devoted entirely to the Future Internet Engineering project, which will be attended among others, by PSNC representatives. Among the discussed topics related to the IIP applications, the conference will include: videoconferencing service in HD as part of the e-learning, HomeNetMedia – multimedia in the home space, HomeNetEnergy – intelligent management of energy consumption in distributed locations, Patient Digital Library, 4KStreamer – transmission of high definition content on the web, Internet IPv6 – applications and services and MobiWatch – security and monitoring system in the IIP.

XXVII Symposium organizer is the Institute of Electronics of the Technical University of Lodz in cooperation with the Polish Society of Theoretical and Applied Electrical Engineering in Łódź.
